The Tinian Dynasty was a pleasant surprise, a haven in an otherwise pretty nondescript island. Tinian is famous for being the location where the Enola Gay flew on that fateful day to bomb Hiroshima.
This hotel is the only real accommodation available on the island.
The staff at this hotel were extremely professional and friendly, comprising of nationalities from Nepal, India, China to New Zealanders, UK, and some Aussies. The GM was especially gr8.
The facilities were typical of any 5 star establishment, though I must say the food was divine!!
The rooms are well appointed and spacious with marble bathrooms the views lovely of the pool & ocean.
Restaurants - BBQ Pit, Casino Cafe, Broadway, Dynasty Court (Chinese), Monster Pizza (the best pizzas) and Sagano. Sagano is a Japanese restaurant that they should be very proud of. The food was amazing, the setting authentic and the staff excellent.
Casino - Renaissance style and stylish, not like Vegas at all. 250 slot machines, 33 tables.
Games incl - BJ, rouletter, Baccarat, Mini-Bacc, Sic Bo, Craps & Poker. Run by mainly staff from from Australia & the UK it seems.......had a gr8 time there !!!! They cater for a lot of high rollers from Asia.
Pool - huge pools with water slides, fantastic pool boys and waiters...could not do enough for me. Had fun playing water polo with fellow travellers from Korea & Japan.
Concierge were good, organised car hire, diving tours etc.
Overall I would recommend this property, if not for the food alone. Ths spa was gr8 too! Well, unfortunately most flight coming into Saipan are really late night. Of course you can opt to stay up all night at the beach and then check into a decent hotel the next day, but I would rather relax a bit for the next day. Saipan Oceanview Hotel is a pretty good place to do this. Its cheap, they pick you up from the airport and its close to Garapan, a 'downtown' if you will.

Though its not the most elegant resort in the world, it is far away from all the package tour group people. Don't get me wrong, but I just don't like the package tours.
Must get the reefside rooms, these rooms are somewhat affordable, compared to everyplace else on this island, and very comfortable.
FYI... for more of a so called nightlife, you would probably want to stay near the package tours groups. These hotels and resort (southside of the island) have more bars (open til 130 am or 200am). PIC is the perfect example. Its a great place for those who like to participate in water sports, but I left South Korea to take a vacation from Korea, not to be around groups of Koreans. We paid about 130.00 US per person including airline tickets from guam one two nights in the resort and a rental car

While in Saipan, we did our own things, mostly resort hopping. Dai ichi in my opion had the nicest beach. All around, if I had to choose only one resort to stay at while in Saipan, it would have to be Dai Ichi. Forunately we can all go anywhere we want. (Stay away from package tours!!!) The Hyatt Regency Saipan is one of the older hotels on the island but age hasn't dimmed its appeal. Each one of its 325 rooms looks out over a lush garden and golden beach to the ocean. One day soon, old Cliffie is going to take the little Clavens to the hotel to show them the kind of place their parents could afford before they came along!
