Beach activities range from windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and speedboating to snorkeling, jet-skiing and scuba diving.

Fiesta Resort & Spa (on internet also called Dai-Ichi Hotel Saipan) is on the beach in centre of Garapan. Short distance to good restaurants and shopping centers.

Over all Hotel Nikko is surprisingly below the quality that I have come to expect from Japanese hotels. Recently the hotel has begun to change their mattresses out; we had one of the new mattresses which was little better then a sheet of plywood with a very thin covering of cloth, no pad, no springs just hard. When we asked the hotel for something softer they said that they could put some blankets on the rock that we were sleeping on or move us to a room on a lower floor
There were nice saltwater pools that had a variety of colorful fish that were quite beautiful; however, I felt that the size of the pools were a little small for the size and number of fish that were living in the pools. I stayed at the hotel when I first moved to the island. The service is top-notch since they are mostly catering to Japanese guests, they are extremely courteous and polite.
The hotel is in the middle of the tourist area, so plenty of shops and restaurants are nearby.
The Hyatt is a beautiful hotel situated directly on a stretch of white sand beach. Plenty of water activities available such as wind surfing, snorkeling, and kayaking. The facility also has a beautiful pool.
The fitness center leaves a bit to be desired, but the Spa, The Club Elan is worth a visit.
There's a lovely outdoor cafe/bar that looks out over a lush tropical walking path which winds around the pool...lovely. Everyone on the island knows about the Hyatt though, and any taxi can take you there.

The Ocean View is a good choice when staying on Saipan. It has a central location to Micro Beach, shopping, and restaurants. Prices are fairly budget for Saipan and the rooms surround a pool excellent for afternoon lounging.
