More about Palau Pacific Resort

Palau Pacific Resort

by geekgrrl about Palau Pacific Resort

This is a first class hotel with beautiful grounds, lovely rooms, and excellent service. I have provided many photos of the hotel in the rest of this site. The fish pond on the grounds is only 3' deep and contains blue star fish and a couple of manta rays, one of which would come to the side of the pond when you slapped the water and would allow us to pet it!

the best place to stay in Palau

by uysijessa about Palau Pacific Resort

as my boss says, the palau pacific resort is the only hotel/resort to consider when staying in palau. this is true especially if money is no object. although on the expensive side, a stay at this resort is worth every penny from the amazingly cool bathroom (complete with electronic thingamajigs for the water closet!) to the great views of the pacific ocean from your balcony or patio to the uber friendly staff to the best beach in the area there's really nothing bad to stay about this place except the price. hehe. i love the little mint chocolate bar they leave on your pillow every night when they do turn down services.

Palau Pacific Resort

If you got the bucks, this is the place to stay in Palau, as it is the only beach front hotel in the Koror area.

Located about 15 minutes away from Koror on Arakabesang Island, this resort has a nice calm sandy beach, good snorkeling just off the coast, and its own dive shop and boat dock.

But, the best part of staying here is the end of the day, sipping on a beer watching the sun slowly set over the Pacific Ocean....

Is there more to life ?? I dunno, but that is enough for me, anyways....

Try These 3

I personally did not stay at any hotels as I had relatives to stay with but their were three hotels that I saw that looked good.
1. Palasia Hotel Palau – The most modern looking Hotel. It features 165 rooms and is a tall building so it would have good views. Tel: (680) 488-8888
2. The Carolines Resort – In the hills just outside of Koror these bungalow style resort would give you great views. Tel: (680) 488-3754/3755
3. Palau Pacific Resort – On the beach facing the Rock Islands. The most expensive of the possibilities but its beachside location and luxury may justify the price. Tel: (680) 488-2600

I know My picture Doesn't relate to the Hotels but I couldn't make a tip without a picture.

Palau

by bobbynish about Palau Pacific Resort

You have to keep in mind this was a scuba diving vacation. Palau is predominantly a diver's destination but there is plenty explore for non-divers. I have to say this resort is one of the nicest and prettiest on the island, but that beauty also come with a price... Not ultra pricey but not cheap by any means. if you can afford it, you won't be disappointed. The rooms are spacious with great views of the ocean. Plenty of closet space, especially nice if you have dive gear. The entire grounds are manicured to perfection, a tropical paradise. The resort offers all the amenities including a beautiful pool, delicious restaurant & bar, hair salon, spa, gift shops, etc. Once you arrive you are welcomed by the staff with a fresh fruit cocktail and checking in is a breeze. They also have a small room off their beautiful lobby with computers. So if you feel the need to get online you can. The pool area is gorgeous, the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail while enjoying the sunset. The restaurant off the pool is open air, so you can enjoy the sunsets from inside as well while enjoying a meal. The seafood is fresh and fantastic! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, all are great. The tuna carpaccio i had one night was to die for. This is a 5 star resort with 5 star service, can't be beat!

WestPlaza Desekel, for the budget traveler. Motel like, no pool, but clean.

If you want a resort, go the Palau Pacific Resort. I believe they even have beach access. My sister & her husband stayed there and enjoyed themselves.

I'm not sure about visas for Pilipinos, but almost all the "dirty work" on the island is done by the quite huge Filipino community, so try to get in touch with one of your countrymen there. I had a couple of email addresses, but a couple of years have passed since my visit, so...
Beware that Palau is not cheap though - most of the tourists stay in Koror where the cheapest places go for around $35. There's almost no nice beaches in and around Koror, the only beach front resort is Palau Pacific Resort in well above $200 price range.

When do you plan on going there? I may be going there at the end of this month. Maybe we can share some costs.

You can get a visa on arrival.

I'm also interested in travelling there from the Philippines as there are some great deals on flights. It certainly sounds as though things are more expensive though. Does anyone know of a low priced but clean guesthouse? I don't need aircon or hot water, but not keen on sharing bathrooms.

Best place to fly from america to palau

by bethaniioi

Does anyone know where the best/cheapest place to fly from anywhere in america to palau is? Thank you!

Re: Best place to fly from america to palau

by cgf

the matter is..
Palau IS NOT a cheap reachable destination.

Re: Best place to fly from america to palau

The above is correct, it is a relatively expensive transport destination. Consider flights from US, to either Guam, Manila Php, Brisbane Aus., connecting to flights to Palau. From Agana Guam GUM to Koror Palau ROR is not bad.

Palau is one of the best snorkeling sites in the world. I have been there and the main reason was the fantastic opportunity to snorkel in the amazing waters there. I fronted very expensice tours and those I personally designed included Palau because it afforded people that did not dive, an amazing look at some of the most incredible underwater panorama of underwater life just not available in other destinations.

Although you are not going to see any ancient treasure galleons, you will be able to explore some World War II sunken ships at leisure.
