There are two pools at Mangoes Resort...or three if you count the split pool as two seperate pools... ;) We had the split pool to ourselves whenever we used it because there weren't many people at the resort...
The bungalows at Mangoes are very new (opened in 2001) and it shows. They are big and very clean. They also have a very comfortable bed and a nice lounge chair...
We stayed the last six nights of our holiday at Mangoes. It is about a 10 minute walk into town from Mangoes. They have two pools but not much else in the way of entertainment. They also have a great restaurant and tour operators.
Unique Quality: The rooms were amazing...
Our last six nights in Vanuatu were spent at Mangoes Resort. The bungalows are fantastic and a bit more upmarket than the other places we stayed.
They have two swimming pools but not much else in the way of entertainment. The restaurant is fantastic though! The rooms really are the best part of the resort, very well kept and even have a TV and telephone! The pools are fantastic too!
Make sure you set aside some time to wander the streets of Port Vila and look through the shops...and chat to the locals... You'll be glad that you did. :)
We really enjoyed walking in to town from Mangoes Resort...it was maybe a 10 - 15 minute walk but we wandered past some residential areas, a park etc. The school kids loved saying hello and always gave us big smiles. :)
