My favourite place on Wallis was the Moana Hou a bit outside Mata Utu on the shore. Some rooms were still under construction, but there was no distubance because of work (you are in the Pacific, where everything is slow), but this my change, so check this before. The hosts were extreme helpful with transport and island tours. You can also eat there if you notice before and the food is a great mix of frenc and local cuisine.The family owns a motu (island on the reef), great for swimming.
