Anguilla Great House

The hotel is pretty modest, a little old and simple, especially comparing to its neighbor CuisinArt resort and soon to be built fancy Rendezvous Bay hotel and villas, but it is clean, right on the beach, beach chaises provided, restaurant and bar on the site, rooms are air-conditioned, excellent showers, kitchens (fridge only, no stoves, no plates, no utensils).

Unique Quality: The price is pretty unique:). I paid 120 USD pre night (off season) + 20% tax which came to 145 USD. Good value for such location! Rendezvous Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches on Anguilla and it's close to the ferry.

Directions: About 30 minutes walking on the beach from the ferry but I do not recommend doing that. Taxi.

Unique Quality: Travelling to Anguilla for the renowned beaches is a main attraction. Originally we tried for KU, but it was fully booked so we "settled" for Anguilla Great House. While a little apprehensive at first, it turned out to be a fantastic decision. Centrally located on the beach at Rendevous Bay, we have never experienced a better beach anywhere. The views of St. Maarten added to the beauty of the beach.

We are headed for Anguilla Great House for the fourth time and we obviously love it. The staff is very accomodating and the grounds and facility are very nice. It is not 'glitzy' or ultra modern but very homey. The beach is quiet and spectacular. Shade trees to sit under. Watch out for falling coconuts though!

Unique Quality: About a half mile in either direction on the beach is totally open and empty. The beach is the best one on the island and there are many great ones.
The friendly staff and owner are always cheerful and anxious to make your stay a great one. Car rentals are available at a considerable discount to those who stay there.
