Below par but AFFORDABLE
Staff is extremely friendly but untrained in hotel service in my opinion. Sent clothes out for dry cleaning, got a call 4 days later from laundry me asking me what they wanted them to do with my dirty clothes. Laundry facility in hotel is functional but no laundry soap available as vending machine doesn't work. When asking staff about procuring some soap they said the would get back to me.... never did. Talked directly with laundry staff and they slipped me some so I could get it done, they seemed scared to death about doing this I might add.
Restaraunt that provides service to hotel is over priced, but the food is good. You cant sign for room service must either pay in cash or give them your credit card. The menus in the room do not reflect the correct prices of the actual menu in the restaraunt. Staff from the restaraunt are somewhat ify, sometimes I had waitressess add their tip to my credit card slip without asking, most of the time it was left to me.
I stayed in two rooms as the first room I was in was broken into while I was sleeping, woke up with a man going through my bags, not really what you expect on an Aruban vacation. He got in through my window and left the same way dropping my wallet on the way. Security did nothing, police were annoyed I woke them up and did nothing, I was just moved off the first floor and given a smile by the receptionist. No apologie from hotel management.
Overall you wouldnt want to stay here unless you could afford some of the larger ALL INCLUSIVE hotels. This place is affordable and convenient in the High Rise Area, I can afford to stay elsewhere and will do so next time.
