2005 - Aruba Eagle Beach Area Restaraunt Tips?

by amapola66

Hello,

We're off to Aruna 19th March.
As we are only there 5 days, it'd be cool to get some recent restaurant tips from the Eagle Beach side.

Anyone been there this year?

Any tips would be most appreciated :-)

Cheers

I'm a retired American living in Aruba. FORGET about the restaurant at the lighthouse - its AWFUL! Seriously, one of the few I refuse to go to on the island. There are a ton of really great restaurants here - most that are advertised in all the tourist info you will receive are wonderful. My very favorites: a new LOCAL fish place near the high rise hotels, just up the beach from Eagle Beach, is Wacky Wahoos - it has wonderful food at very reasonable prices. Another favorite, a perennial favorite and for good reason, is Madam Jeanettes - get a cab or call for directions, and let me know what you think of these suggestions and of Aruba. -Donna

Travel Tips for Aruba

Great Snorkeling and Scenery for Free

by laguizz

Well, almost. If you take a public bus up to the northernmost end of Aruba there is a beach with great snorkeling right off the shore. Some of the boat trips go there. We saw as much marine life as on an all-day paid trip, sponges, coral, fish, schools of squid...
Then, if you can take the heat, walk along the dirt road along the shoreline to the northern end of the island with waves crashing onto huge rocks next to a lunar landscape. Still further on are some magnificent sand dunes. We were the only people in the entire area, one off-road truck drove by in an entire afternoon. A unique and beautiful place, though desert and deserted.

"A Perfect Paradise"

I am not a beach addict but my husband is. So since we´re near the Caribe area, I chose Aruba to spend some days of relaxation.
I was so amazed with this island that in the end I believe I enjoyed more than my husband.
It´s a must see place.

"Safari Island Tour"

We decided to take an island tour to see what this island has apart from it´s beautiful beaches.
It was real fun!!! not to mention that the tour guide made it all perfect.

"Perfect Sunset"

You have to witness this beautiful colors in the sky. How dramatically the colors changes.. Very romantic....

Aruba great time highly recommend

""Life is Good" on the island of Aruba"

I had a great stay at the Renaissance Hotel. The rooms were clean and excellent service. We opted out of the all-inclusive and took advantage of the great food at the local restaurants. Warning the food and alcoholic beverages are very expensive be prepared, but well worth it, excellent food.
