I mean "good for the spirits" in...two ways.
The bar selection is awesome. They'll have your favorite alcohol, and some you'll have never heard of--but have to try.
And the bar staff is wonderful. You'll stay at the bar many nights laughing and getting to know them.
There's also another way it's good for the "spirits".....it's haunted.
The house is round, as the name suggests, and it was built in 1832. Apparently, in the 19th century, a girl was murdered around what is now the bar area. She makes noises late at night, but is otherwise harmless.
I really surprised myself. I always said that if I found out a place I was staying in was haunted, I'd be out of there faster than you could say, "boo."
Well, the only thing I said was, "Hey, I paid for this, and we'll be fine as long as she stays downstairs and I stay upstairs."
She didn't bother me for the rest of my stay.
