The best place on the island?!?

I didn't try out all of the places on the island, even if we checked out plenty of them, so I can't say for sure if it is the best place. But of all the ones that we looked at this was without a doubt the best place!

There are different rooms and most of them has a private veranda with hammocks. Our room was very big with two doublebeds, a nice and clean bath, tv, two fans and veranda with two hammocks. We paid 45 belizean (22,5 USD) for the room, and it's not a bad price on Caye Caulker.

The best about the place is the dock where you can take sun, go swimming or relax in the many hammocks. The hotel is situated almost at the split, and it's just a few minutes walk 'downtown'.

Mara, that runs the place, is a really nice and charming women. And her little chihuahua Tipsy is the cutest dog I ever saw. When we were sitting in the hammocks she always came to play or just to cuddle a bit. She was also guarding the gate and barked at all of the locals, but didn't care anything about the tourists. Even if she wasn't bigger than a cat, she was not afraid about chasing away bigger dogs that came to close her... ;)
