Awesome burritos and cheap daquiris at Gordos

We stumbled upon a very yummy little treasure called Gordos. It's off the beaten path ( which is always fun to stumble across:>) and seems to be a favorite of the locals ( which is also a really good sign :>)
It is just down the road from Pedros and around the corner from Road Kill Bar and Crazy Canucks.
The food was amazingly cheap and amazingly yummy! Given the prices of food at the rest of the islands restaurants, it was a relief to the pocket book.
I ate a multi layer quesadilla that was huge and delicious and my boyfriend at a chicken burrito that was also huge and delicious. We started off with a tangy local specialty of conch ceviche and a round of fresh mango daquiris. We ended the meal with yummy ice cream.
All in all we found that the servings were generous, the prices were undoubtedly the best on the island and everything was absolutely delicious...not to mention that place was quite charming! Beaches, beaches and more beaches!

San Pedro on Ambergris Caye - La Isla Bonita??

I have been to San Pedro on an organized snorkeling tour from Caye Caulker. We made a stop for lunch break in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, so I had about 80 minutes to explore the city. What I have seen so far is for sure not enough to judge fairly. Anyway ... what I have seen so far was not enough to make me come back.
Suppose if I hadn't been to Caye Caulker first I maybe would have liked San Pedro. But if you already have been to Caye Caulker ... forget about San Pedro.
