As I said some of us went for a dip with our clothes on. And unfortunately had to air dry. I was beginning to think it wasn't such a smart idea after all. But of course a few alcoholic beverages soon allowed me to forget about being chilled

"The view flying onto the island"

It's not pretty from the air but they are developing the lagoon side of the island to take the pressure off the ocean side resort docks.

"closer to town"

There are some well built homes arranged in a grid down this area.This is an area where the local people in the resort industry live.They have been hit by two hurricannes this year but even before then they lived with an amazing amount of plastic litter strewn about.Many people have well kept yards and everyone is friendly but there is some unsightly litter everywhere on the island.

Barge landing on the lagoonside

We took a golfcart ride through here several times.I felt safe going anywhere during the daytime.I wouldn't go into this neghborhood at night just because I'd get lost and the roads have serious holes down here.

Thats the lagoon with the illicit Crocodile feeding going on,You can see the reef just about a half mile off shore

Mud flats and Mangrove. I see some amazing waterbird here.Saw a roseate spoonbill stork last trip -bright pink he was.
