Ambergris Caye is a great place and if you go there I recommend Exotic Caye Beach Resort. See my page on Ambergris Cay(e) and email me with any questions you may have. ps. I just created that page so it may not post for a day or two according to the VT policy.

There are some nice locally owned places there. I think there's a couple of upscale resorts there too but don't recall the names.
