Sunset Dip
by lacole
While on the catamaran, we were just a few feet from the Barrier Reefs, it was prohibited to get too close to them. As we were watching the sunset, it rained for 5 minutes which was the only time it rain while we were vacationing. Some guests had bathing suits on so they went for a dip. Others jumped in with their clothes on (myself included). It was AWESOME being in the water and watching the sunset. Little did we know, it was warmer in the water than it was out of the water.

This is where the south beach project hope to build their resort complex
"Deep Channels"
The cut throughs have been here for a very long time and save a long trip around the small cayes and flats to the south. You can tell they are deeper as they are much bluer than the flats and sea grass beds
"The end of the Island"
we drove a golfcart down this way to check out the progress. They have improved the road considerably and the power lines go all the way down here now.The road does get relly potholey at this turn
"Strong currents"
I bet this would be a good place to fish but we saw the current going fast enough where you would not want to swim in the channel
