Belize has a long way to go on developing their tourist service. If I am paying over $230 a night I should be getting some fantastic service. This was not the case. The tours were not scheduled in a timely manner, We had clothing removed from our room (it was later returned after a fuss was made), and The Luna restaurant was not that great. Prior to arrivng we had scheduled several tours of the inland with the Jouneys End office in Houston, and pre-paid. Once at the resort we had to make additional appointments of the tours that were already set. While checking out, our bill indicated that we had been double charged for everything. Not what you expect for 230 a night. If I was only paying $100-$150 a night I would have had no proplem. I have recieved better service at hostels.
To its credit, it is beautiful. We had a beach front Cabana that was very relaxing. The Hotel provides Kayaks free of charge, and there are several hammocks on the beach.
