We celebrated a special event at The Phoenix with our extended family, and we couldn't have been happier. What a wonderful week at this stunningly beautiful resort. If you're considering San Pedro you already know the things you can do here, so I'll tell you the things you DON't have to do: get dressed up, wear shoes or makeup, communicate in a foreign language (English is spoken here), strain your brain converting money (it's a simple $2 Belize to $1 US), hassle about anything (the people both at The Phoenix and in Belize in general are the nicest people you will find anywhere). Your hardest decisions will be where to have lunch and dinner - and great choices are a walk away. That's really what sets The Phoenix apart from other resorts on the island. It's right in the heart of the bustling town, so anything you might want to do is nearby - no cabs needed! You can stroll barefoot down the beach, or along the street if you want to see the sights (o.k., bring a pair of sandals for the street). When you return to The Belize you will feel like you're stepping into another world. Palm trees frame your view of the ocean, the pools are fabulous, accommodations are luxurious - nicer than at home! Waking up in the morning and seeing the sun glinting off the ocean without even lifting your head from the pillow is a delight. A cup of coffee on the balcony gets the lazy day going. Let me just say that this is a place to treasure, and we do - we're going back in March. Enjoy!
The Best of Both Worlds

Our stay at the Phoenix resort was amazing. It is definitely the most beautiful and modern resort in San Pedro. Every condo has a great view of the ocean and the beachfront condo is only yards away from the water!! Absolutely beautiful. The onsite restaurant, pool bar, spa and health club are only added benefits to such a breathtaking place. We love being in town because you get to really experience the local culture.
The people are so friendly and beautiful. With this being a girls trip, safety was very important. The Phoenix has 24 hour security watching over the place. Great guys!
We will definitely be returning soon.

Could not be more pleased with my stay at the Phoenix. Mark the manager was helpful in every way possible. Communication was excellent. Took care of every concern.
The location is absolutely perfect. Walking distance to almost everywhere you would want to go. Just across the street: two grocery stores, police station, Belize cellular phone company (get a $25 sim card for your phone to make local calls & calls back home). Just down the beach: Chuck & Robbies dive shop (only place you need to everything you want to do waterwise), dozens of great restaurants & bars.
The rooms are impeccable, grounds are beautiful. Great pool.
Would not stay anywhere else.
Amazing Hotel!!!

I would recommend the Phoenix to everyone!! It is a beautiful hotel right on the beach with the most beautiful pool I've ever seen. The rooms were spacious, modern, and extremely clean. Staying at the Phoenix really made our first trip to Belize!!! The staff was amazing and gave us so much information on what to do while we were there. And lastly, Red Ginger, the hotel restaurant is delicious...I recommend the grouper sandwich for lunch and the shrimp and scallop risotto for dinner -- yum!

We just got back from San Pedro and LOVED it,not only for its spectacular beauty but for its Beautiful People! This is what made our vacation one of the BEST in our lives. The Manager at The PhoenixResort "Mark Maggiotto" treated us like family, his kind respectful, attentive, no problem, demenor made us feel right at home..loved it! IWe would recommed this resort without hesitation to family and friends, its location is prme, with gorgeous views of the carrabean a dive dock out front called Ecological Divers( say Hi to Marc and Gilbert) cant wait to return but in the meantime The Phoenix Resort people and the people of San Pedro will hold special memories for us.Live-Love-laugh-San Pedro!!

Our stay at The Pheonix was excellent. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Everything you needed was provided in the room and on the compound. The staff made you feel so welcome and the service was exceptional. Bar service and food at the restaurant were great as well. The pool was beautiful and clean and the views from the rooms were breathtaking. I can honestly say everything was perfect and I highly recommend The Pheonix to anyone looking for somewhere in San Pedro to stay. We will definitely return. Thank you Mark Maggiotto and Staff at The Pheonix for a memorable stay. See you soon.

I said the same thing 15 years ago when I first visited San Pedro. Then, they had no paved streets, now they have three. Paved streets or not this is a bit of heaven on earth. The Phoenix is one of te most beautiful places I have stayed. From the ocean views and the pool, to the staff and the condos, this place is the place. The resturant opened one of the nights we were staying and the food was awsome. Located in the center of town, its great to walk anywhere. Biking, walking, snorkeling, diving. Mother Nature at her best.
totally relaxing

Just loved our stay, the condo we rented, was well stocked with everything we needed blender, ice maker, even an ipod dock. The pool is just gorgeous and everything was spotless. You are on the edge of San Pedro, so was quiet at night but a short walk to restaurants, and grocery stores. They had just opened the resort restaurant when we were there, the food was excellent. The resort might seem expensive but we thought it was worth every penny. My wife had a massage at the spa and enjoyed every minute.
Luxury condo great for 2 couples

The Phoenix offered us 2 bedrooms each with a private bath and a fantastic living area with a full kitchen. Perfect for 2 couples to share. The king beds were super comfy with high quality linens. We had a large wrap around balcony with ocean and pool views. The staff fantastic! and Mark the manager met every need and answered every question.
The location in the heart of San Pedro was perfect because you could WALK everywhere, no taxi needed. Bike rentals just 1/2 a block away, and the grocery stores were across the street! Restaurants a quick walk down the beach. Your choice to be a pampered hotel guest or do your own thing self catering! Safe, covenient and definitely the best place to stay in SAN PEDRO!
