Authentic Belizean Experience

The Lodge sits among 4000 acres of land owned by John & Carolyn Carr. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. A large aviary, two monkeys and a jaguar also greet guests. The rooms we used were basic, but larger than an average hotel room. They are all uniquely decorated as Carolyn has added her artistic touch. All have ceiling fans, and some feature a/c. If you can, plan to take at least one meal in the dining room. Meals are home-cooked Belizean basics such as stew chicken with rice & beans, fajitas, burritos, empanadas. Everything was very tasty. We especially enjoyed the fresh juice daily!

Unique Quality: On-site horseback riding is a must do! The trails lead through the trees and crops and give a great view seen only from horseback. A fine swimming pool (at the adjoining lodge, but available to Banana Bank guests) features a stunning view of the river.
