Luxury Jungle Casitas: Ka'ana Boutique Resort and Spa
Ka’ana Boutique Luxury resort is regarded as a Premier Resort in Western Belize. Located in the Cayo District, Ka’ana is conveniently situated between San Ignacio town and Soccotz village. After opening its doors to the public in 2007, Ka’ana has continued to demonstrate exceptional service and committed interest in satisfying our guests. For their natural influence, cultural dynamics and outstanding (amenities), Ka’ana has received a reputation as one of the leading resorts in Cayo.
Being nature friendly, Ka’ana has gained a competitive edge in the tourism industry. Ka’ana rests at the heart of deep evergreen forests complemented by a diversity of flowers dispersed all over the compound. Guests are first welcomed by the green jungle canopy stretching across the entrance to the parking lot and are overwhelmed by the palms and the mature trees which almost seemingly touch the sky. The aroma of blooming flowers, roses and pollinating vegetation spreads across the yard giving a therapeutic sensation to our guests. The compound is decorated by brightly colored flowers such as the pink hibiscus, Birds of Paradise and so much more. Especially to guests, the melodious singing of birds in the nearby trees is pleasantly welcomed as their melodies set the mood for a romantic breakfast or a lovely evening dinner under the Caribbean skies. Additionally, the organic garden just a few steps away from the other facilities is Ka’ana’s pride and joy when illustrating how much we embrace natural and fresh products. The garden houses arugula, cauliflower, broccoli and other familiar crops hand grown by our farmer’s loving hands. The fertile dark brown soil only bears the sweetest and loveliest produce. The strong minty smell from the garden intertwines with the other aroma in the yard perfuming the rooms and the restaurant. Ka’ana takes pride in serving their guests with only the freshest ingredients for a heart warming “dinner from the garden.”
In addition to its nature friendly feature, Ka’ana’s hospitable standards set us apart from other nearby resorts. The strong cultural diversity from Creole to Spanish among the staff further adds to the dynamic atmosphere at the resort. This blend of Belizean flavor and ethnicity exposes guests to various personalities and skills all which can be found at Ka’ana. When guests arrive they are greeted by friendly, inviting smiles. The motivated staff is always willing to assist guests with clarifications or further assistance they may need. At Ka’ana, guests are treated with respect, warmth and kindness. Lingering laughs between guests and staff are frequent as the day passes by. Besides this, whenever guests encounter an issue the staff responds decisively ensuring that the problem gets resolved immediately and efficiently. The friendly tone between staff and guests and excellent services is key in distinguishing Ka’ana from other resorts.
The amenities at Ka’ana are exceptional making us locally and internationally known. The first feature guests usually see is the spiral staircase with slate tiles which elegantly links the upper and lower floors. In the lobby, guests can rest in the cushioned white couch accessorized by brightly colored pillows to await their check-in. The elegantly furnished lobby allows for warmth and a cozy sense of relaxation to take over a wary guest mind. The vase with palm leaves complemented with red and pink orchids gives the area a refreshing homey feeling. The other wooden furniture and the triple window invites sunlight inside while the palms peeping in contrast and add color to the white wall. Conversations of guests and laughing children fill this area. As guests grow weary they depart for their cozy casita or Balam room. The rooms are spacious with local Mahogany furnishings complementing the light white tiles that lay below. Decorated with local paintings, guest can admire the artful skills of local artists. The bed with their thick white linens stands in the center of two lamps. The flat screen plasma television, fully stocked mini-bar and espresso machine are other items that guests can enjoy in their rooms. Whenever guests need to be refreshed after enjoying a day of our many adventure tours, they can turn to the infinity pool. The outdoor saltwater pool is surrounded by floral vegetation at all corners. The blue water dazzles giving the appearance of diamonds floating on the surface because of the gentle effect of the Caribbean sun. When they become hungry, guests can sit and enjoy healthy and rich food in the “award winning” La Ceiba Restaurant. Allow Executive Chef Sean to amaze your taste buds with his Caribbean inspired culinary arts. Why finish there when you can make you way over to the Martini lounge and try one of our unique one of a kind Martini from our fully stocked bar. Furnished with cultural paintings and candlelit tables add a cozier, romantic mood to your dinning experience. The amenities at Ka’ana are truly a unique feature to the resort.
Although a young resort Ka’ana has managed to set competitive standards in the Cayo District. The resort operates on a professional basis and ensures that the staff delivers above expectations. The ethnic blend, fantastic services and nature loving aspects of Ka’ana makes the resort one of the most unique and leading tourist institutions in Belize. So I guess the meaning of Ka’ana stands firm, because Ka’ana Resort and Spa is truly a heavenly place.
