Iguana Creek Resort: Resort in the Jungle

We found Iguana Creek to be a comfortable place to stay. We had an air conditioned "casita" with a private bath and coffee maker. There was a hammock outside our room in which my girlfriend spent a lot of time. The lush resort grounds are on a hill overlooking the Western Highway. Just across the road is the Belize River.

Unique Quality: The owners of the resort, Americans Dr. Larry Johnson and his wife Sunny are wonderful hosts. Doc kept us entertained and well informed during our trip, including the football scores of the games we were missing :) On all occasions I found him to be much more enthusiastic and knowledgable than any of the tour guides we encountered.
