PETE'S HOTEL: Comfortable, clean, waterfront... and cheap!

Rooms are very simple, breakfast not included. But there is hot water, comfortable beds and fan. Localisation is very convenient an there are rooms facing the sea, which is - seriously - 50 metres from the window...

Sleeping to the sound of the waves was the great experience here.

Great view of the sea.

Val's: Dangriga's cleanest & cheapest accomodation

I recently visited Belize. Whilst in Dangriga I stayed at Val’s, 1 Sharp Street, Dangriga, Belize. Tel: 502-3324, Fax: 522-3687, Email: valsbelize@yahoo.com

The establishment Val’s is now a backpacker’s hostel, in addition to being an internet café, laundry, and ice-cream parlour. You can also enjoy coffee, muffins, cookies, cold soft drinks and water. There is also a bike rental service.

The 8-bed hostel is very cheap at only BZ$ 14 per night, it is cleaned everyday, bedding is changed daily and there is a communal bathroom and kitchen.

The owner Dana Joseph is a very welcoming, friendly and hospitable lady. There is a communal area outside the hostel from where a view of the sea can be enjoyed and there is a table and bench outside where meals can be enjoyed. Evenings can be spent on the roof under the stars and one can enjoy the view of the moonlit sea.
