We stayed one night. We had prepaid $1200 for a "package" to include meals, trips, and a seven night stay. We stayed one night, ants swarmed up to our bed. The lock did not work in the bathroom/shower. The door could be pushed opened when locked. We did not feel safe. Luckily, we found another wonderful place to stay, and we fell in love with Belize and Placencia. The new place we stayed at was beautiful and the resort owners even invited us up to Christmas dinner! Great places to stay: Collibri Beach Villas, Mariposa, Robert's Grove Inn, and Turtle Inn. Also, please be careful of the tours. Make sure your resort owner knows the guides (some guides are dangerous). All experienced resort owners have good relationships and knowledge of the best companies and guides. There have been some tragic "mishaps" due to reckless guides. Belize is a an amazing place, too bad the owners were so inexperienced. Hopefully, they fixed the cracks in the walls where the ants swarmed in with our 1200.00 , since not a penny was refunded.

Unique Quality: Placencia is beautiful! Just make sure you stay at an experienced and trustworthy place!
