Fort Burt, Road Town (Tortola) - GREAT!
A hotel built on the foundations of a Fort built by the Dutch (prior to 1672) and rebuilt by the English...
WOW!
The rooms were great - lots of light, clean, new looking but keeping in the spirit of a Carribbean holiday.
The service and staff were amazing (we were upgraded for free when we had some trouble with our air conditioning - really, really upgraded - to a suite!)
The location, if you're planning on doing any sailing (which is really the only reason I'd say you should go to RoadTown), is perfect and right across the street from the Marina - providing some great views at night and some great boat-watching during the day.
We were recommended the hotel by friends and we'll ALWAYS stay there when we we're lucky enough to return to the BVI.
It's built on the foundations of an old Fort.
Great view of the marina.
It has a pool that overlooks the marina.
The restaurant is run by a culinary school - a little pricey but absolutely worth it!!!
