La Paz - Butterflies & birds
"Butterfly Observatory"
The Nature Park of the La Paz Waterfall Gardens includes, so they say, the largest butterfly observatory in the world. Even if we didn't really clicked for the overall touristic destination, we liked getting close and capturing incredible moment with the butterflies.

I'm not trained in butterfly and inable to tell their names for the most part. So lets just enjoy this... butterfly!

Silver Throated Tanagers could be seen thoughout the paths... these banana eating ogres!

The toughtfully designed paved paths takes you through the hummingbird gardens, orchid houses, butterfly observatory, fern trail and falls trail. A few feeders along the way will attracts numerous little birds that you can watch from up close.

Another one of these freeloaders!
"Great Kiskadee"
The ubiquitous great kiskadee. A little bigger than the other ones, we were suprise to find him everywhere and not so shy...
It's voice tells you its name: kiskadee. And, at least in french, "kiskadee" roughly translate to "what-he-said"!
