Seeds of Yoga: One week farm retreat

An organic farm with vegetarian food that is cooked outdoors.
It is a paid volunteer program with spanish classes.
There are big cabins, a lodge, or dorm rooms.

The daytime cook makes delicious meals. If you strongly dislike vegetarian food ie. black beans & rice cooked with garlic and onions....then this is not the place for you. If you want to drink then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a meaningful volunteer experience then this is not the place for you. They had to "make up" things for me to do. So I was told to sort rusty nails. When my nails were sorted they were dumped back into the mess pile for another volunteer the next day. If you want to be near the ocean then this is not for you. The farm is located south of San Jose in the Central Valley. You will be five minutes away from La Flor which is in Paraiso. Closest major city is Cartago. There is a pink church, two corner stores, a school, and the obligatory soccer field.

I suggest seeing other places in Costa Rica for a more rounded out experience. You will want to see the rainforest so perhaps stay one week at seeds of yoga and another week on tours and staying at beaches and national parks.

Also, do try to negotiate the price especially if you are not wanting to take spanish lessons.
