This is very off the path, it takes about two hours and you need a 4 WD vehicle to take you here. The access road is 16 miles of dirt road, and if you don't have good shocks in your car, you will feel every bit of this road!! The park is beautiful. We were short on time so we went on the 3k walk where we saw hot springs, a vocancito (mini volcano), monkeys, snakes, mudholes, and lots of plant and tree life that you only see in the jungle! It was great, I wish I came on different circumstances, because I would of loved to hike to the top of the volcano. If you are staying near Liberia and want to escape to green and jungle, this is your place (especially if you are in this area during the 'golden season').
