hotel villas gaia & terraza del pacifico

Has anyone been to hotel villas gaia near Playa Tortuga or terraza del pacifico near Jaco lately? I haven't been to villas gaia yet. I've been to terraza which was good, but the bathrooms were falling
apart and very nasty. Would like to go back if they
have cleaned it up.
Also, any opinions on canopy tours- Chiclets, Rainmaker or Hacienda Baru?
My trip is in January.
