The closest from Arenal vulcano
It is the closest accomodation from the arenal vulcano, and if you are lucky you can see and hear a wonderful vulcano show at nigth, rigth from your bed ( rooms have a huge glass window)

The lodge is directly across from the volcano. You can look at it through your window as you go to sleep. Not as nice as the Hot Springs Hotel, but better price.

The staff was very helpful. The tour desk helped when answering our questions and finding the best tours. The rooms were comfortable and clean. In room coffee, soap, blanket and towels were provided. They even made towel animal that you find on cruise ships. One thing that was missing was in room phones. Wake up calls could be placed at the front desk and they knock on your door to wake you up. The area surround the lodge is very nice. If you pay a bit more you can have a room facing the volcano and on a clear day you could see the lava from your room. There are trails to hike and you can see various plants and birds. There are 2 Jacuzzis and an unheated swimming pool available. The location is excellent since it is close to the town of Fortuna and the Arenal volcano.
