Hotel Pasatiempo
by sean420There are 2 rooms per building and they are all spread out around the pool area with each having a small porch with a hammock for lounging. Our room had a comfortable bed, good air conditioning and hot water. The shower has a small window that might allow someone to see inside but after haveing the hot water on for a minute the window fogs up and obscures anyone from seeing inside.
The food and drinks in the restaurant/bar are all very good and reasonably priced. We saw many people who were staying at other hotels come to the bar/restaurant for food and drinks. Tuesday nights the bar features local bands who play a good mixture of cover music rainging from Santana to Sublime to Arthera Franklin. It seemed like everybody in town was there that night and I estimate about 300 people were in attendance. Definately quite a party!
There are 3 friendly cats and 2 dogs who are the hotel mascots. One of the cats befriended us and we let him sleep on our bed during our last night there. He was very well behaved in our room.
My only (tiny) complaint was that the pool didn't seem to be cleaned every day and constantly had some leaves, twigs, and dead insects floating around.
Everything about staying at the Pasatiempo from start to finish was superb and I can't wait to go back!
