Great pool and close to the beach

We had a bit of bad luck at this hotel. The pluses are that its location is right on the corner of the two main streets in town and it is right next to a main entrance to the beach and the bus stop. The giant pool is gorgeous and perfect for swimming and relaxing after a long day at the beach or to cool off from the incredible heat.

Room prices vary according to weather you choose to have A/C, a balcony or just fan. A double in low season with private, hot water bath and fan was $38 including taxes BUT the rooms are located in a wing on the lower end of the property. The doors do not come all the way down to the floor and the high ceilings and back wall full of holey netting allow a mixture of animals to congregate in your room. Rooms are very basic with beds, a small fridge though bathrooms are big and clean and showers very warm.

Our initial room was INFESTED with big ants that were crawling everyone and on our beds and we found a cockroach in there as well. When we asked staff to spray the room so as to vacate these critters, we then found a GIANT bee's nest right outside of our door and were moved to a room down the hall. Staff was nice but could have been a lot more accommodating considering that the condition of our room was unacceptable. Other rooms were very nice so best to check. The pool made up for it!
