"It was a great experience!"

I just can recommend this Hotel to anyone
I stayed in Hotel TOTEM for the first time. I was there on business trip and I appreciated the great Internet Service which they offer for free.
The Hotel is very close to the Beach but is a very quiet place at night.
The staff was very helpful and the food in the Restaurant at the Beach was just enjoyable.

Unique Quality: While almost all of the hotels are on the opposite side of a very dusty dirt road away from the beach, as is Totem. It is the only hotel we saw that you could walk out of, cross the road and have your feet in the sand. (the sand is 15 feet from the entrance) Most of the beach at Playa Cocles is bordered by 10-100feet of forest. The small area in front of Totem Hotel is the only place in the area that has direct beach access. You can watch the waves during breakfast.
There are two small pools and a cool shaded area with hammocks to lounge in. It is tropical, quiet and you can hear howler monkeys and jungle nightlife during the night.
Both pools were clean and fun to relax in. The rooms were cute and comfortable.

“Very much recommended!”

A wonderful hotel with a great surfing atmosphere. Just across the beach, close to all the action but still a nice place to chill with some nice food and drinks. Lovely people managing the hotel.

Unfortunately no surf possibilities while we were there (Oct 2008), but plenty other cool things to do as the village was within walking distance of the hotel
