Searing sun in Costa Rica
"Manuel Antonio National Park"
I stayed at the Fiesta(now a Hilton?) in Puntarenas. The resort was nice, not great, but serviceable. The pool was good, but the beach was not to our liking. It was a dark sand beach, it looked like mud in the surf. I saw very few people braving the beach. Meanwhile, at the pool, the sun was searing. I needed to put 48spf sunblock on every 40 minutes. You also needed to go in the pool at least once every forty minutes to cool off.
We took a day trip to Manuel Antonio National park. The forest that you had to walk through to get the beach was interesting. The monkeys hung from the trees right in front of you. Some people were feeding them, although, told not to do so. There were also 3 toed sloths sitting high up in the trees. Then we came to the beach, looking through some mangroves. It was a perfect beach. The sand was white, the water a perfect color of aqua. The rock formations in the water, set a beautiful view.
