TikiVillas Rainforest Lodge: Wonderfull place in the middle of Nature
We loved our stayed in TikiVillas in December, it is a small boutique lodge locate close to Playa Hermosa. They have a wonderful infinity edge and 5 bungalows in the rainforest with stunning sea views as well as the rainforest and mountains. The service was excellent and the hosts (owners) Cindy and Tom went out of their way to make our stay in the area a special one – thank you! Our stay included breakfast and the Lodge had a lounge bar to hang around in the evenings. I understand they serve food as well though we did not try it. TikiVillas is a peaceful place to enjoy the nature and wildlife as well as all the beaches in the area. We loved the open air modern architecture, the bungalows had a king bed and single bed with large balcony with amazing views, bathroom with hairdryer and inside as well as outside jungle showers. A small kitchen you can cook if you like. We felt the lodges great relationship with nature during and during our stay we saw troop of howler monkeys and loads of birds especially toucans. We definitively recommend to our friends and family particularly if they are looking to get to know Costa Rican nature and get away from it all and enjoy outdoors.
Unique Quality: Great relationship with nature with open plan modern Bali? archictecture. Located in the rainforest close to the beach with stuning ocean views. Free wi-fi internet, infinity pool and bar.

Adelante Hotel: Ojochal's most happening hotel/bar/restaurant
First of all i would like to state that 10 km south of Uvita is a great village called Ojochal. Me and my wife made a quick stop there before driving to Panama and we found a lush looking hotel just by the costanera sur highway. First the place looked quite expensive but as we were talking to the owners (who are from Estonia - now i know where it is haha) we found out that the prices were very reasonable (if you ask me they should ask double for the quality they offer!!). The hotel is all designed by the owners and it has many artistic details. Room was very clean and it included breakfast aswell. To our suprise the hotel had a restaurant and a lounge area were we had dinner. I dont want to sound like the owner of this place but the food was out of this world!! The chef is from Canada and really knows how to make things taste unbelievable. Also there was a DJ playing chilled lounge music when we were staying there. And the staff were all young voulanteers from Estonia who really sparked up the place.
So anyways we really fell in love with the place and stayed a few extra days there enjoying the great atmosphere and the pool. So if anyone is heading down central pacific be sure to drop by Adelante hotel (www.adelantehotel.net)

Unique Quality: Massive pool, ocean view in one of the cabinas, ocean is 500 meters from the place. Restaurant food is just off this world, live music and DJs on the weekends, the whole hotel is on a hill and the landscaping is just very creative, PRICE ISNT PER PERSON BUT PER ROOM so it doesnt matter if theres 1 or 3 of you!

El Bosque: Stay in the Jungle by the Highway
We stayed at this inn in May of 2005. We paid about $38USD/night, including breakfast, no TV, no A/C for a room. They do have larger units w/kitchens. There is no internet available but there is a nice internet cafe just a click or two down the road. This inn consists of numerous small buildings with vartious number of units in each for a max of about 9 units. Room was nice with a balconey overlooking the jungle with a very, very small view of the ocean. Shower is of the standard Costa Rica suicide type. Grounds are very lush and very weel maintained, a very pretty setting. Breakfast was continental style served outside on a small verandah attached to the owners quarters. There is a small pool. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the evenings. There is a fantastic trail through the jungle to the beach. The beach is not great for swimming but it is a very interesting place to walk. We liked this place so well we considered buying it as it was for sale at the time. Compared to the two places we stayed at in Dominical, this inn was pure heaven.

Coco Tico: Tico Owners
Someboby told on my way to Uvita that Coco tico is runned by a Costa Rican family, and the Tucan, which i asked first its runned by an American....so i decided to help the local efford...
Unique Quality: better room for less price than Tucan Hostel
5 USD per person in a double room, private shower while tucan is 7 USD in a dorm! shared bath!
Coco Tico has a Restaurant/Bar , and they played music in a slow volume and just until 11 pm. so guest may sleep well.
