from the courts turn left 2 ki...... etc

Cannot find anything but that does not mean that there is not anything going on.
This site looks like it has not updated the teathre since last June, when "One Flew Over the Cocoos Nest" was playing....

Travel Tips for San José
Above Ground Graves
We were interested to see this cemetery of above ground tombs in San Jose which are remarkably similar to those found in New Orleans, Louisiana. But much of New Orleans is situated below sea level, and San Jose is in a high mountain valley.
According to our guide, the tombs here are above ground because heavy tropical rains can saturate the ground to the extent that the water may disturb, or even float, the caskets if they are buried six feet under.
Museo de Arte Contemporaneo - Contemporay Arts
Surrounded by high, bleak, concrete walls, the old National Liquor Factory has been turned into a complex with two theatres, three art galleries, a library and live cultural activities. There are frequent dance performances and concerts in the Teatro FANAL and the Teatro 1887. The newly named Centro Nacional de la Cultura, National Cultural Center, is administered by the Ministerio de Cultura Juventud Y Deportes, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport. The main building was built in 1856 and used to distil coffee liquor. On the grounds are historical artifacts as well as some of the original equipment and machinery from the factory. Open Tue-Sat, 10 am- 5 pm. Free admission.

College pub nights nostalgia
This is a big bar in Barrio California that is most popular for its Monday nights. Ladies get in free (and shouldn't have to wait in line). The place is packed, there is live music (though not my favourite kind as it is often old 80s and 90s music or current top 40), drinks can be a bit expensive and there are SO many people, you can hardly dance. Do NOT leave your personal belongings on a table- this is a thief's paradise.
Many young Ticos will frequent this place on Mondays but it is also packed with every foreigner in San Jose it seems and thus isnt the best place to experience Tico culture but a good place to meet up with other young foreigners. Very casual- whatever you want.
ALL YOU CAN EAT BEEF.
Its a Brazilian Steakhouse called Churrascaria.
They have a large salad bar and serve to your table different cuts of beef on metal screwers.
They keep coming and keep coming until your stuff.
If your a beef eater and hungry this is the place.
I have eaten in at Maruis the one in Rio De Janeiro,Brazil which is better than this and a little cheaper due to exchange rate.
The prices of drinks are high so watch what you drink.
They claim to offer free shuttle service but when we called 506-895-8765 but they sayed NO
Maybe its after you payed and ate there?
I have been here twice. BEEF.
They also serve other meats,chicken.
You could get a full stomach just on the salad bar alone which also has meat or non meat items for you Veggie non meat eaters.
