Water parks? I'll be really interested in what you get back here. I left Cuba the same year you were born.

Guardalavaca is a small town (more like a village) with a couple of shops a cafe and a craft market, didn't notice any waterpark but there are catermaran trips, jeep safaris and several places of interest cigar factory museums etc. Most of the hotels are outside Guardalavaca and have there own animation team for activities and entertainment

"About my country"

The Republic of Cuba, located at the entrance of the Gulf of Mexico, in the Caribbean Sea, is an archipelago formed by the Isle of Cuba, Isle of Youth and by some cays and islets.
In Cuba there is always a good weather due to a tropical climate with a media annual temperature of 25 degrees. In summer the media goes up to 27 degrees and in winter goes down to 21 degrees.
The fresher months are December, January and February and the hotter are July and August. We invite you to meet the all the richness of this little country.

"Fidel's speech ground"

Behind the monument you'll find the office of Fidel Castro, President of Cuba. On Plaza de la Revoluzion thousands of people gather to hear him speak.

"Cuba means Rum"

These barrels contain one of the best rums in Cuba. Legendario !
When in Cuba, make sure to visit one of the distilleries. This one is still being made the old fashioned way.

Don't forget the Cuban cigars !

"Old Havana"

Havana has two parts, the old and the new. Unesco is trying to renovate the old part of the city but hasn't made it to all of the buildings yet, as you can see on this picture.

"Renovating !"

Renovation of this square started on the left of the picture but the right houses still have to be done.

"European investors"

This building has been totally renovated and is one of the prettiest buildings of old havana. It's used by European companies and hasn't got it's place in Havana in my humble opinion...

"The bay"

At the other side of the bay you'll see one of many ancient fortresses.

"The streets"

Street musicians are common in Havana. You'll also find many bookstands where you can buy decent books about the history of Cuba.

"Oil in Cuba"

As I've heard, Cuba has enough oil to provide the entire country without need for import.

"Unesco street band"

The band on the picture is playing local music and walks around old Havan every day to collect some extra money for the Unesco world heritage fund which is restoring the city. Local people tend to start dancing as they come by.

"The scenery"

Blue ocean with palmtrees along the roads, where you can still come across horse and carriages

"The ocean"

Here you can see me chilling out in the ocean after a football (soccer) game with some locals.

"Buena Vista Social Club"

is a Cuban band who are known worldwide and unfortunately lost one of their members recently...

Compay Segundo !!!
