Great alternative to staying in Habana
This is a 2 or 2.5 star all-inclusive hotel located about 20 minutes from Habana. It's right on the Santa Maria beach so it's the perfect location for people wanting to visit Habana but still be on the beach. They have a daily shuttle (I think 3 times a day) into Habana with the last return transfer at 6pm. Or you can always take a taxi for around 10-12 CUC (cuban convertibles).
That being said, it's not a luxury hotel by any means. The rooms are clean, but not fancy, the food is good, but not great.
Unique Quality: They have 2 a la carte restaurants, one of which is not advertised very well. This one is located just behind the pool bar, overlooking the beach. It's wonderful, with a beautiful view, fresh bbq food and just an all around great vibe. Make sure to make reservations as soon as you arrive as it books fast.

$1200 Can, one week all included, in february. Way more cheap in january.

Help..Havana
Good day!
We are 3 guys in our 30s from Toronto going to Havana (Cuba) May 3or4 for 1 week and looking for ideas about whick hotels are great in Havana. We want to be close to the city (as opposed to Vardero), but alos on the beach, and have heard Club Atlantico is great.
We're going to explore the city including it's nightlife. Any ideas of great night spots in the city!
