Very close to the Old and the St. Francis of Assisi's Squares, the elegant Raquel hotel recreates the magic of the Hebrew culture and pays homage, by its symbolism, to the female figure, beauty and love. All this is favored by the romantic atmosphere of the prevailing Art Nouveau style of the building, though it co-exists with other eclectic elements in its architecture. The building was built in 1905 as a space for offices, a warehouse and a fabric store. In 1908, it was extended to have its present-day look.
It consists of 25 rooms, which have been very carefully designed with a great comfort and decorated with paintings by well-known Cuban painters. An impressive skylight rounds off the atmosphere this charming place. For the most exclusive of tastes, the Raquel hotel has beauty and elegance without equal.

Hello,
Me and my wife are going to Cuba in 4 weeks time and we're staying 3 nights in Havana. We have booked a really nice and quite cheap package provides the option for two 4 star hotels located in the "old" part of Havana :
Hotel Raquel and Hotel Del Tejadillo.
Any feedback on personal experience with these hotels would be much appreciated.
Cheers all :)
Hotel Raquel
Hello,
hmm ... could you please elaborate on why Raquel is preferrable? (even if briefly)
Thanks :)
