This 4 *hotel has 400+rooms and is located in the middle of the peninsula. It's divided in several small buildings and doesn't give you the impression to be in such a big place. It's an all-inclusive only hotel, not beach front but has a private beach which is only 5mins walk where you also have a bar. The hotel has 5 pools, 4 restaurants (international, italian, chineese and cuban), lots of entertainment, bars and shops everywhere. The rooms were big and each have either a terrace or balcony . Beware of the receptionist ! Before you know it, he grabs your wrist and puts one of those bright blue bracelet that you have to wear at all time till you leave...
The room was clean, fresh linen or towels daily and the staff fairly courteous. The sliding doors didn't lock so i rented the safe key. Buffet food mostly tasted unusual. Once had to remind the cook that the frozen turkey cutlet was not cooked completely. Morning omelets were good. Mostly the restaurant was a good place to meet up with new friends. The 24 hour restaurant facility had some good reviews by others. Some form of entertainment was provided every evening. Tips are a part of the package with some staff adopting different patrons. Be mindful of your own conduct as staff are monitored as to their behavior with non-Cubans.
This is decent facility. It's only rated 3.5* It's unique benefit comes from it's location, close to the ocean and yet close enough to local shopping and the Cuban elements of Veradera. It's not insulated like the higher end resorts up the peninsula. No mosquitoes!
