Hello everybody, i am looking for a casa particular (cuban home). Anyone know a place with a beach, not very expensive, like 25 pesos a day.
Who went there, how was the food, where do you buy the food? Do you have to give money to the person who live there? Please help!!!!
And what about the transportation from the airport to the casa? Who come to pick you, do you go in taxi??
Legally there are no casas in Varadero.
If you are intended to stay in an illegal casa particular, remind that when the owner get caught he risks that he will loose his house and you can be kicked out in the middle of the night ...
You can have dinner and brakfast in casas and you pay the owner. Just take a taxi from the airport ...
Hotel Pullman is also a cheap (and legal) place to stay:

Good luck

You sounds a person that have travelled around Cuba a lot.
Have you ever heard, witness or come across of black tourist facing racial prejudice while in Cuba.
I've heard that i could be asked my ID even when i try to get into Hotels...

The last thing might happen alot, best is to carry a copy of your passport with you all the time, and just say you are NOT Cuban.
It also has a positive function. When you just play the "mongo" and keep your mouth shut you can go into local Cuban taxi's for almost nothing ... just do stupid and act you can't speak :))
Also for museums or other attractions that have an entrance fee, you can go in there for alost nada.
Good luck
