Hotel El Mirador
This is a two-story building situated on the edge of the small town of San Diego de los Baños which is famous for its mineral and thermal springs. It is an important centre for health tourism in Cuba.
The hotel is also a favourite place for birdlovers, as it is close the La Güira National Park, and cyclists (touring from Havana to Vinales).
Our room was clean and comfortable with air conditioning, cable TV, safety deposit box, radio and telephone. The private bathroom was rather small. The garden is well-maintained and there is a swimming pool with poolside bar that is usually lively (noisy) with locals (especially during the weekends). The main restaurant is good for a state hotel. There is also a grill restaurant in the garden offering fried or smoked chicken, or fried pork with rice and tomatoes, which is rather basic.

La Ermita: Viñales hotels, La Ermita
1,5km from Viñales village, La Ermita is a small hotel with plenty of facilities and good service. Air-conditioned rooms with telephone. Restaurant, bar, swimming pool with snack bar, money exchange, safety box, parking lot an tennis court. I even has facilities for disabled people from the parking lot up to the first floor rooms. A beautiful building, in complete harmony with the Viñales Valley, it gives a wonderfull panoramic view of the tobacco fields.
Unique Quality: The pool is great, overlooking the valley has a terrific view. The snack bar servs good national drinks. Try out the daiquiri.
