Casa Neri: Casa Neri - quiet, clean, amazing food.
Vinales has lots of casa paticulares but more are on the main drag and can be loud and chaotic. Casa Neri is on the edge of town surrounded by a beautiful garden on the road up to the Las Ermitas hotel. The hosts are wonderful and the room is clean and big. The best part is the food and the hammock underneath an enormous palm tree.
Great location, great food and the hosts can help you with day trips for horseback riding, touring and rock climbing

Casa Ony y Luis: Casa with the best restaurant chef
We stayed 2 nights in casa Ony and Luis and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A little out of the centre of Vinales (around 10 minutes walk), you really have peace and quiet and can enjoy sitting on the porch with the view of the Mogotes. Luis and Ony are excellent hosts - and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning and because Luis is a chef (cooking is his passion), we also had one of the best meals in Cuba! Don't miss the opportunity to have dinner at the casa and ask Luis to make his famous mojito which is also the best we've had!

Casa Ony y Luis: Good, clean and quiet
We stayed 2 nights in casa Ony and Luis and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room is comfortable, with 2 large beds and air conditioning. You have your own private bathroom and the living are is also for the guests.
The food was excellent - see review above - we especially appreciated the complementary juices - papaya, guava, pineapple which Ony which was always topped up in the fridge for us.
Because we had been traveling quite a lot, we needed to do some laundry, this was no problem and everything was ready in a day.

VILLA CRISTAL: IDEAL FOR INDEPENDENT TOURISTS
I had a very pleasant stay in Villa Cristal. The owners are very friendly and helpful, which made me feel at home.
The room is comfortable, spacious and modern, the bathroom is new and hot water 24 hours
Their meals served in the courtyard were delicious and plentiful.
I recommend it for independent travelers and families with young children.
Villa Cristal is a central house, which rents a nice bungalow at the rear, formed by all sorts of amenities. He has a room with two double beds, private bathroom with hot water 24 hours, air conditioning and TV. It also has a beautiful courtyard with fruit trees where you sit and relax while sipping a mojito and you talk, or he can sit on the porch of the main house and relax.
This house is ideal for couples who want maximum privacy and independence or families traveling with children, because at home there are young children.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
A very good experience.

Casa Lucilo y NIrma: It was home from home in Cuba
Staying at Casa Lucilo y Nirma was the highlight of our vacation in Cuba! We did a lot of travelling (we spent two months in Cuba and visited most of the attractions) and it was our favourite place to stay.
After leaving cold London, finding this family in one of the most beautiful places on earth was like a breath of fresh air. We still do miss the quiet evenings at their terrace smoking Cuban cigars and having Lucilo telling us stories about life in Cuba. Nirma and Nana, the cooks, should have a top place in the best cuisine guidebooks! Everyday they served a big typical Cuban meal and we could only eat half of it. We highly recommend to everyone travelling to Vinales to try a meal here - you do not have to stay with them, just give them a phone call.
They rent two rooms (one of them is quite new and not listed yet on their web site). The rooms are clean and confortable. Each room has two big beds, air conditioning and hot water 24-hours. Both rooms have own bathrooms and a common entrance to a beautiful garden.
They speak English and Lucilo can arrange everything for you: walking tours, horseback riding, bikes rental, accommodation in other parts of Cuba, salsa and Spanish lessons.
They can also pick you up at the bus station if you arrange this by email.
We are very much looking forward to visit them again, it was home from home in Cuba

Carmen y Daniel: Vinales top casa particular
We stayed at Carmen and Daniel's for four days. Great place to stay if you want a comfortable convenient place in Vinales but most importantly with some of the friendliest people in cuba. They make you feel like family.
Plus Daniel is a great cook and host and has great stories about the island's past and present.
Daniel's menus include fantastic fish, shrimps, a variety of vegetables including yucca, plantain, potatos, etc, etc .... a killer black bean soup....cuba libres and mojitos....and much more.
If you are four then 2 people can stay at Carmen and Daniel and the other 2 can stay next door with Danilo and Nirma (see trip advisor for a review of their great place). You can then arrange it to have dinner together and have one night dinner at one house and then the other(Nirma and Daniel will take turns to cook!). Their patios are connected so you can easily move from one to the other patio!
This is a very convenient location close to the center of Vinales. The room is immaculately clean with a good air-con and its new bathroom. Unlike many other casas, the room is detached from the main house so it is a little more private than most. But arguably what makes this a fantastic place to stay are the owners, Carmen, Daniel and their daughter Yudith. They are so friendly and nice. Daniel is a fantastic cook and puts his utmost effort to make the dinners/lunches top notch!
Some of the best food we had in Cuba.
Well above most casa's in Vinales and if you are four you can split across the two casas that are neighbours (Carmen/Daniel and Danilo/Nirma).

Villa Sara y Jorge: So comfortable in Vinales
We spent 5 nights at Villa Sara y Jorge in Vinales. Sara has been running her casa for 10 years and her guest books are full of well deserved praise.
We felt so welcome at this clean and spacious home, tucked down a backstreet in a quiet neighbourhood. It was great to sit on the porch in rocking chairs, sipping a cool lemonade (or mojito) and watch the time pass by. Neighbours greeted us as though we were old friends and we found ourselves invited into houses left and right. Sara and Jorge were wonderful hosts, telling us all about Vinales and the area and everything that was on offer thereabouts. We followed their advise on everything and had an excellent time!
The room was large with two double beds, air-conditioning and fan. It came with a stocked fridge (water, juice, soda and beers), and private bath with a great shower. The restaurants in Vinales are mostly State owned and we ate breakfasts and dinners prepared by Sara. She is a terrific cook and takes great pride in offering up really delicious and enormous meals with traditional flavours and styles of cooking. She does equally well with vegetarian meals. I came home with several recipes for soups, sauces and deserts.
Jorge is a great talker and we found them both excellent sources of information not just for the area, but for every facet of life in Cuba. We left wishing we could stay longer. Strongly, strongly recommend a stay here!
Wonderful, well informed hosts, comfortable beds, great meals! Very close to main street. English spoken!

Villa Candida: great tours, great food, great views
2 airconditined rooms with private bathrooms, hot and cold showers, welcome juice and cigar, and has family close by with equally nice casa (friends stayed there). Possibly best food i had in cuba, great flat roof top with seating which has beautiful views of mountains, sat there one night watching brilliant lightning storm, smoking cigars and having a beer. Arranged brilliant and reasonable horseriding trip for a a group of us (sounded better than others experiences), got some good cigars, lobster was brilliant at night as was fish. all qute friendly and chatty (although more to girls than guys but not in bad way) but would recommend. keys to rooms and backdoor for at night as well. nice and centrally located as well.

Villa Pupi y Norma: Cuba cosiest casa particular!
Hi there travellers, for those who are looking for advise on casa particulares in Cuba, I was very lucky two good freinds of mine reccommended to stay at Pupi y Norma - a fantastic family/guest house in Vinales, Pinar del Rio. Their hospitaliy was excellent I really felt at home, beside, the food that Pupi was preparing every night!!!! What a delicacy! I have collected some stuff and put their 'casa particular' on the map, knowing how dfficult it is for them to connect with the world www.villapupi.com please feel free to contact me for any advise

Villa Pupy: Casa Particular ...
It’s a very friendly family… and the price is one of the cheapest options you’ll find in Viñales.
If you don’t have anything booked in advance, don’t worry… every time a bus arrives, there are at least 15 or 20 casa owners offering their house. I paid only 10 CUC here, that’s why I recommend it… besides that, the family was cool… the room was alright, it had private restroom with hot water… pretty much the same all the other rooms have.
Just one very important advice… all the casas all over Cuba will try to convince you to eat at the house, some times it may be a good choice… but if they don’t tell you the price in advice, you’ll end up paying 8 CUC for a meal they bought in the market for 50 cents. The same with the beer the offer you at dinner… while you buy the same beer at any bar for 1 CUC, they may charge you 3 CUC. That’s a very usual way to get ripped off (it happened to me, ***ers!).
