A place to stay in DR

My first impression of my accomodations were, "did I make a mistake?" That was due mainly to the crazy traffic and all of the people running around hustling in the immedite area. Upon entering the property I found it to be a clean and inviting environment with a helpful staff. The key staff members speaks English, but the cleaning staff and a night clerk did not speak English.

Speaking English is not needed or wanted by me because my primary mission during the 10 day visit was to improve my spanish and to immerse myself into the culture.

I would describe the hotel as being off the beaten path because it is not in the tourist area. I'm living amongst the locals while here.

To sum things up about the accomodations, I have a room with night stands, a table/desk, satellite tv, a chair, a clean bathroom, and a clean bed. The water, including the hot water, and air conditioner all work. Food can be ordered and delivered or you can walk to the restaurants that are within a block or two.

There are stores within a block for basic needs.

You will need to know spanish because you will be amongst the locals at this location.

Unique Quality: This location has basic qualities and the accomodations are clean and operational.
