Santo domingo's hidden treasure
From the moment i arrived at the hotel they went out of there way to accomodate me. I must have looked adventuresome because the hotel clerk asked if i would like to see the city that was right up my alley. He called a taxi driver that he knew (louise ) and off we went we just (he didn't speak english and i didn't speak spanish) had pulled up to a toll booth and was paying the toll when a car in the next booth was rear ended so hard it shook the car we were in. Louise looked at me smiled and and wiped his brow to say "whew" i'm glad that was not us. I was glad too. We left afetr we realized both parties were ok.
He took me to a city called Boca Chica quiet beach town had some tbones on the beach at a nice restaurant . Smoked some good dominican cigars and and reflected on our near miss. We hung out everyday for a week.
On the last day louise came to my hotel to see if i needed his services and i motioned to him i was tapped out , all i had was money to catch a cab to airport. He motioned that the night was on him. We had a ball he took me into the capitol bought me a chicken dinner from poco loco and a couple of presidentes and we were chillin.
Just goes to show that there are good people everywhere.
