Coral Canoa Beach Resort and Spa La Romana, Dominican Republic We went on an all inclusive deal with a charter company. I would highly recomment TNT Vacations when looking into this vacation!
The hotel staff were incredible! The 'Chocolate Friends' put on nightly entertainment, and involved the guests in everything they did. Housekeeping would leave towel 'swans' with fresh flowers when they made up the room. Everyone was pleasant, and extremely friendly! I lived in hotel called One Ocean Place and I didn't like it. I had to sleep at livingroom, because bedroom was too noisy and damp. Theme: HotelComparison: about averageAddress: Sosua

I love this place! If my friend would have allowed it, I would still be there now... on the beach, sporting dreds, and painting. My hotel was in the best location, I feel, to take in all of the sites. The poorest of Americans are still able to live like Royalty, here. Contrary to popular belief, I found this place safe as can be. All you need to do is what you would do anywhere- look out for yourselves and try and have the best time. The only risk I took was paying twice what I would pay if I had known Spanish or the area, for my moped rides (still cheaper then taking a cab around Naples, FL, where I had flown out of).
For a touch of home, you will be able to speak English with the staff here... But I prefer to exchange smiles with the friendliest bartender I have ever encountered, Flo. Flo does not speak english, but she makes a mean Rum Punch using fresh, local juices. I stayed in Sosua, on a resort called Casa Marina Reef/Beach....and it is an amazing place. Very clean and the rooms are fairly big. Neverminding the view.
Big pools, clean beach, very friendly people...especially the guys at the reception and the waiters. The view was magnificant and so was the food and of course the drinks. Very Nice!!! When I visited in May I stayed at a lush five star hotel in La Romana, called Coral Canoa. It was absolutely beautiful. The people, the service, and most of all the food! Theme: HotelComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: La Romana
