Little Deutschland?

Playa Esmeralda was great. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. Plus he knew every language I think possible, haha. The staff was very friendly and spoke english and german, at least, too. The rooms were cozy and quiet. We got the all inclusive deal, as there is virtually no other place to eat near the resort. The food was decent, typical international menu.

Unique Quality: The pool was alright, but who goes to the beach to sit by the pool?!?!? The beach is by far the best part of this resort. Its a private beach so the only other people are the other guests, which were about 50 at most when we were there. Lots of room to spread out. Also, I don't remember any children, so nice and quiet.

Plus almost every night/afternoon the staff put on an activity for the guests. The sunset here is beautiful.

All the guests were German, except for one Canadian family that was there one night and us. It was great, although the language thing sometimes bothered my girlfriend, but I found a very friendly older German guy and he practiced his English and me my German.
