Service-Amazing-the people were the nicest and accomodating people I have ever met!
The facilities were beautiful-from the grounds to the beach to the rooms-Paradise!!
The entertainers were fun, they got the crowd involved and the Dominican men can dance-sexy!
Food was great-shrimp, lobster, crab, chicken-you want it you got it-oh the rum!!!!!!
If you plan on staying in Punta Cana-spend more $$ and stay in a resort like the Iberostar Bavaro-there isn't alot to do outside the resort(no city to visit close)so you will be spending most of your time on the resort-the Iberostar chain is the way to go!!!!!!!!
Unique Quality: Beach was unspeakable!
Best part-the people- we can only hope to be as kind,genuine and happy as these people!!

Walking through the grounds of the Iberostar you would swear that you were in paradise!
There are lush coconut trees and other tropical foilage everywhere. In amongst the trees are many types of birds. I was woken up one morning by 6 peacocks cawing outside my door. Pink flamingos and herons will keep you company for dinner and the list goes on.
The spa is great. What better way to start a vacation, than a massage on the beach listening to the surf!!
All of the staff are very accommodating. If you need anything all you have to do is ask.
The food at this resort is 5 star all the way. The buffet restaurant is worthwhile going to everyday.
Last, but not least is the powder soft white sand beach. It is as soft as talcum powder. Very clean and 26 kilometres long. Take your significant other down to the beach to watch the sunset while you linger over a glass of champagne.

Como veis, el hotel, instalaciones y personal fue durante mi estancia fueron excelente. Si te das una vuelta por la playa y observas otros hoteles, te das cuenta de que estas con casi toda probabilidad en el mejor hotel de la zona

Iberostar Bavaro Resort, Dominican Republic
Normally you can get there by a travel agency package, it is worth; the flight and the hotel are inclusive in the price. FABULOUS!
It's got everythig you can imagine! Pools, private beach, animation, hairdresser, restaurants, watersports, ... Dominican Republic is full of this kind of hotels, you have a wide range of choose!
Any IberoStar Resort complex including but not limited to The Iberostar Costa Dorado in Puerto Plata. The Rui Merengue In Puerto Plata. Playa Naco in Puerto Plata All Inclusive resort accomodations.
I was at Going One Club Bavaro, an Italian holiday village near the international resort Fiesta Bavaro. You can take part at many activities organized by the village staff. You can play beach volleyball or play bowls on the sand. There are two tennis courts and one archery field: There is a little football ground too. You know, italian people love football so much!! You listen to the music all the day and you can try to dance the merengue.
H10 Bavaro Resort - Bávaro - Punta Cana On the foreshore, over the magnificent beaches of Bávaro, and surrounded by palm groves. All rooms are comfortably equipped with telephone, air-conditioning, radio, piped music, Satellite TV, safety box, complete bathroom, terrace and most of them with views of the sea. In addition, the Hotel offers you Restaurants, different Bars, three swimming pools, tennis, gymnasium with sauna, and other sport activities as well as a good day and night entertainment.
Don't know one-night stay price because it's an all-inclusive resort. It is an all-in resort and it's very good!
Because the resort includes 5 hotels, you can use the facilities of all 5. The bavaro beach hotel is the greatest of 5: it includes 4 restaurants, each of them serves very good food all day/night. Some buffet but some à la carte. Entertainment day and night, great white sandy beach right in front of your room, witch gives an outstanding view (oceanview!) On the beach a big pool with poolbar, a watersportsstation and it's all inclusive. (except diving). The hole resort is an barcélo-resort, they are none all over the world, look at their web-site!

If you want to rest and stay in one place such as a nice resort, with sport activities and good food. Let's go there !
I don't know. We had a package from a travel agency in France (less than 1000 USD flight, hotel). - Hotel by the beautiful Bavaro Beach.
- BEAUTIFUL BEACH, SUN EXTREMELY STRONG: Beach Towels supplied, seats, large umbrellas to protect from the sun. COME EARLY TO RESERVE THEM (7.00am)! (it says not to, but everyone does by putting their towels on the sits).
- The beach is quiet and no one comes to hassle you except WATCH OUT THE TIME SHARE GUYS WELCOMING YOU... THEY ARE DRESSED AS IF THEY WERE WORKING FOR THE HOTEL (WHICH THEY ARE I THINK), THEY HAVE A DESK BY THE BEACH AND ON YOUR WAY TO THE BEACH THEY ASK YOU IF YOU GOT YOUR WELCOME PRESENTS... THEN TAKE YOU TO RECEPTION TO GIVE IT TO YOU AND INVITE YOU TO AN INFORMATION MEETING...I HEARD PEOPLE SAYING NOT TO SIGN ANYTHING...?
- ALL INCLUSIVE HOTEL. Food and drinks all inclusive. Quiet good. Except some sports are not inclusive: you have to pay more money to insure yourself for some sports or waterskiing, etc.
- Large swimming pool goes everywhere between the buildings (nearly everyone has a nice view on them)
- Lots of restaurants in the resort :
The Food is always good at the main restaurant. (In the evenings, don't go to the Grill Restaurant where you need to make reservations, our food was served cold ! and not so good!)
There is also a snack bar by the pool and one by the beach. Very handy !
- The Gym is very basic not excellent. A few bikes without digital screens to control your time, calories, etc...
- The 2 Tennis grounds, you need to reserve (free) your court. It is said no more then 1 hour per room but no one follows the rules. Take your Tennis racket, otherwise you can hire some.
This is PURE PARADISE. A small and very clean beach front complex with everything you need within walking distance. The prices were less than comparable surrounding units and the owners were very accommodating. I highly recommend this location for both short and long term stays.

Has anyone stayed there? Do we need to take anything special? Electrical converter was suggested but since the electricity in DR is 110 volts..why do I need one? Any suggestions?
You won't need much of anything at this five star resort. If you are bringing a cell phone, you may need a different plug to charge it in the room. Some resorts don't have the same plugs as home. However the front desk can accomodate you, as well they sell them in the gift shops.
