My family recently spent two nights at the Hotel Aguas Blancas. We were very satisfied, particulary given the price -- $20 per night. This small hotel is conveniently located downtown (which means it's also somewhat noisy), and is absolutely spotless. The people who run the place are very nice. They seemed genuinely surprised we didn't have hot water. The hotel is associated with Restaurant Aguas Blancas, the most formal restaurant in town (and apparently the most highly regarded), but we found the restaurant slightly overpriced and the service disinterested at best.

Given the $20 per night rate, we were very surprised to discover the rooms (at least our rooms) had cable tv.
