My holiday at the LTI Sol de Plata
The Sol de Plata has a private beach, but I have to say it is quite small and nothing to write home about. The beach in the nearby town of Sosua is much better. Free buses run from the hotel into both Sosua and Caberete.
This photo shows the salt water pool that winds its way around the pool area.
Enjoying a rum and coke on the Outback Safari. At the time of my visit this trip cost $65 per person.
It's lunchtime, I'm eating but some people prefer to be messing about in the river.
The guide is on the right- no it's not lipstick on his lips and her face - it's a dye obtained from a plant.
After that swim and then lunch, what better to wash it down with than a 151 and coke.
That 151 has given Sarah enough courage to try out the boogie boarding to conclude the enjoyable Outback Safari.
Another trip white water rafting in Jarabacoa in the mountains in the centre of the island. Trip cost $99 - problem is it's a 3.30 hour drive out, which means an early start.
