"The beach"
The Talenquera consists of two complexes, the main hotel, restaurant and pool area which is separated from the beach, the Italian restaurant, the disco and more hotel rooms by this road. It wasn't far to walk to gain access to the beach, about 50 yards or so.
This is the beach. It actually looks better on the photographs than it actually was. Too many sunbeds too close together and far too many trees on the beach for my liking.
The beach is rather stoney at the water's edge, but the sea is usually very calm. There is some sea grass growing in the sea to the left of the Talenquera beach which does spoil its appearance.

This shot was taken on the very narrow stretch of beach that joins theTalenquera to the Barcelo Capella Beach resort. If you enlarge this photo you can just make out in the far distance the other Barcelo hotel - the DeCameron.
This untidy stretch of beach connects the Talenquera to the Capella. Unfortunately quite a lot of rubbish seems to get left on this strip and no one seems to want to take the responsibility to clear it up
