Le Tropical Hotel: Charm and Intimacy without exorbitant prices!

What lured us into this location was its close proximity to the beach (just a 2 minute walk to Plage St. Jean), the popular hangouts (Nikki Beach), and the gastronomical restaurants and charming shops. It's also just a couple minutes drive from the airport. With a party of 10, they were able to accommodate all of us in their charming garden and oceanview bungalows.

Their rates were extremely reasonable especially during the month of August, and they included complimentary breakfast and airport transfers upon arrivals and departures.

The rooms were very cozy and kept us cool when the temperatures outside began to peak.

Months prior to the trip, I could already tell how friendly the staff was going to be based on their quick responses and helpful information about the island. We kept in contact and they were very flexible when there were additions or changes that needed to be made.
Upon arrival, all their staff assisted in helping us find our way around the island.

Besides the comfortable rooms and friendly staff, I did like where this hotel was situated. Perched up on a hill, it was far enough away from the busy street below so we didn't hear the car and foot traffic, yet close enough for us to walk to all the recreation and shopping areas.

The hotel has their own pool, which proved to be the perfect place for us to hangout after hours and cool off in the balmy nights.

They also have a fantastic bar where their "Do-All" guy, Dominic tended bar and made some of the best margaritas east of the Yucatan!

The French-style breakfast was great as well, with the typical cafe creme with croissant, and we enjoyed the fact that we could have it served in bed. The menu also included side orders such as eggs and yogurt, if you required a little more sustenance. If you dine in the dining room, they serve breakfast from 7:30am to 10:30am, but after all our late nights, we never seemed to manage to get outta bed before 10:00!

The perfect Hotel for a facation. Only thing that I did not like is the distance to the beach. To far away!
We been at room #12 and I keep thinking about this. The view is great. I like to return to the same Hotel and room!

The Hotel is a little remote but nice and quiet. Employees very friendly!

Hotel Guanahani: Luxury Getaway

The Guanahani was a great escape from the harsh winter weather back home. Expensive, but sometimes you just need to indulge in a little bit of paradise. Service was excellent. Food was outstanding.

The rooms are actually pretty little private bungalows with patios. Some also have private swimming pools.
