I stayed at the Flamboyant a couple of times. The first time after a major post-hurricane renovation. I was the only one in an entire wing of the hotel. Talk about quiet! But the place is generally quiet any time. The restaurant was quite decent. The beach (on the lagoon side not the ocean side) was so-so, the pools OK but not top shelf as with some resorts.
The hotel was perhaps 20 minutes from the airport, not far from Marigot.
All in all, although this is not one of the best hotels in St Martin, I would certainly not hesitate to stay here again.
Unique Quality: Friendly staff, good food, quiet location.
Directions: If you are driving, the hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport (take a left from the airport).
If not take a taxi (~$15)
